Children sit eating sugar cane in front of their home in Busua Beach, Ghana.
This is a panoramic view made from 2 35mm Fuji Velvia slides. It is 1992, I was walking by when the 3 boys asked me to photograph them, i thought the photo looked good, i loved the dilapidated house and the simple joys these kids were living. A few days later as i passed by again a small child peeped at me from the door so i took another photo… I now had 2 slides. When digital photography came about in the early 2000s i scanned the 2 slides and assembled them into a panoramic view. At the time of the photographs the idea of assembling the 2 never occurred to me. It is fun how this resulting image was actually taken over several days time!
